Bullying and Child Abuse

The Anti-Bullying Coordinator, like all other school personnel, should be on the alert for signs of child abuse (neglect, emotional, physical, or sexual) and follow the Child Protection Guidelines and Procedures (see CPGP) and the Children First National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children (see summary).

Where a suspected case of ABUSE, as defined in these two documents, comes to the attention of the ABC through the Box and Interview method, the ABC must follow the Guidelines laid down in these two documents.
